Transitional Housing
The Transitional Housing Program provides up to two years of transitional housing and supportive services to veterans in order to return them to employment and permanent housing. Florida Veterans will be given a hand up not a hand out. They will be required to obtain jobs and open a savings account. Those receiving income of any kind are also required to contribute towards the shelter's operation.

Supportive Housing The Supportive Housing Program is an essential component to the overall continuum of care because it gives HB the ability to place veterans in permanent housing with continued access to on-site case management and counseling services. The SHP Functions in conjunction with the Transitional Housing Programs to provide a full continuum of housing, counseling and job placement services to veterans in need. Many disabled or low income Veterans find it hard to find affordable housing. Our program will match up Veterans to share homes. The Mission in Citrus will help them when there is a financial hardship or other problem , in order to keep them in a home. Help will include food , help with bills , transportation , and many other needs. Our focus will be to keep them in their own home.

Case Management- IN PROGRESS AND WAITING FUNDING
Prospective residents undergo assessment by a trained case manager performing intake duties to (a) determine whether or not they meet the criteria of homelessness and (b) verify their veteran status in accordance with the mission of the program.(c) Will be able to benefit from our program. If appropriate for the program, a needs assessment will be conducted to determine the areas to be addressed by the MISSION service plan.

Employment & Education Assistance
The Employment and Education program’s goal is to involve the residents of The Homeless Brigade in higher education, skilled training or on-the-job training programs that will enable them to secure competitive employment and higher paying salaries. This comprehensive program includes intensive job development, job search, labor market information, assisted placement, job workshops, resume preparation, and interview skills training.
